Job Description

Technical Coordinator for Advancement Operations

Basic Function: Responsible for implementing and maintaining the University’s advancement software solutions, coordinating the integration of those systems, training others in the use of the systems, protecting the integrity of the data and analyzing the data.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of experience in database software and in using other software products to build web pages. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is a plus.

General Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the security, maintenance and consistent usage of the University’s alumni and donor database, Raiser’s
Edge, to ensure the integrity of the data.
• Investigates new fundraising and alumni engagement software solutions; coordinates the evaluation of software
and the implementation plan for new software.
• Assists in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of University Advancement’s web pages for online donations, event registrations and alumni engagement.
• Creates standardized and specialized reports and responds to ad hoc requests for information.
• Coordinates the University’s email blast process – building the monthly schedule, updating templates, writing
queries for the distribution lists and assisting with the creation of the emails.
• Resolves data issues and reporting errors and services as the first point of contact for issues with Raiser’s Edge, NetCommunity and other software products used in University Advancement.
• Trains others to use Raiser’s Edge, NetCommunity, the RE app, the RE Event app, the MobilePay app and other software products as they come online.
• Serves as a second tier support to the Gift Processing Manager and the Assistant Director of Advancement Services.
• Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software. (Specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to stay current with emerging office technologies.
