Full-Time Psychologist and Suicide Prevention Coordinator

Job Description

The Counseling Center at the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time
position as Psychologist to begin on or around August 1,
2015. Responsibilities include individual and group
therapy, consultation with faculty, staff, students, and
others, outreach programming, psychological assessment, and
supervision of graduate students. The selected candidate
will coordinate the Center’s comprehensive suicide
prevention efforts by ensuring adherence to standards of
practice and providing training and consultation to Center
staff and members of the University community.

Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in
psychology, eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in
North Carolina, and demonstrated interest in university
counseling. Preferred qualifications include experience or
expertise in suicide prevention, experience in a college or
university counseling center, and demonstrated ability to
deliver culturally-competent services to a highly diverse
client population. Candidates must have enthusiasm for
collaboration within the Center and throughout the
university community. Salary and benefits are competitive.
The UNC Charlotte Counseling Center is IACS-accredited and
is an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship site.
