Full-Time Programmer/Analyst

Job Description

The Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) invites applications for the position of Programmer/Analyst. A Programmer/Analyst is responsible for the design, development, testing, and documentation of computer information systems in support of System ERP programs.

The Programmer/Analyst will perform the following functions:
◾Design, develop, modify and document application programs.
◾Review and analyze user specifications in the writing of programming code.
◾Verify program logic by preparing test data and performing trial runs.
◾Determine causes of program malfunctions.
◾Provide technical assistance, training and advice to staff and user.
◾Responsible for the application system interfaces to various ancillary software including the data integration and synchronization between systems.
◾Analyze user data requests and develop queries, create reports, data extract, etc., utilizing various reporting tools.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related area AND a minimum GPA of 3.5. (Evidence of GPA required at interview.) Course experience with one of the following: Microsoft SharePoint, SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA, C#.NET, ASP.NET, HTML5. Experience in using databases from a programming perspective (e.g., ORACLE, SQL).

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with shell scripting languages (e.g., Bourne, Bash, Korn or equivalent). Ability to
effectively communicate with both end users and technical personnel within IT as well as with external vendors.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
