Job Description

Job Summary/Essential Functions:

We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented
applicants for the following position: Program Support
Supervisor 2, Housing and Residential Life

This position will coordinate the day-to-day operation of
the Housing and Residential Life main office, including
exceptions and appeals, and exemption requests; coordinate
student compliance with the housing live-on requirements;
provide student staff supervision and training. Participate
in evening and weekend events to promote Housing and
Residential Life Department.

Conditions of Employment:

– Extensive sitting and walking
– Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
– Ability to multi-task the multiple projects occurring at
any given time.

This position, during the course of university employment
will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for,
university funds or other items of value; as well as the
unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled,
vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16.
Successful applicant will be required to pass a background
check for continued employment.

This is an agency shop position.

Minimum Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree;
– Three years of experience in the program specialty or
experience in a closely related field;

Program specialty is defined as experience coordinating
daily operations of an office, managing key and furniture
inventories, housing requirements and responding to
exceptions, appeal, and exemption requests.

– Experience coordinating travel arrangements; managing an
office environment; record keeping and managing an inventory
– Experience supervising students or professional staff
– Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
– Excellent interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing
– Experience working with and/or advising students, staff,
housing participants and/or the public;
– Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, pay
attention to detail and produce desired results;
– Ability to understand, interpret, and apply applicable
rules, regulations, policies, and procedures;
– Ability to work independently and as a member of an
integrated team; and

Candidates must demonstrate interest, ability and/or
experience promoting cultural competency or diversity.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Master’s degree in higher education, communication,
business, or related field
– Previous work experience in housing and residential life
– Previous experience serving as an office manager or
executive assistant
– Strong purchasing and budget management experience
– Experience using Banner or Star Rez
– Bilingual
