Full-Time Housing Facilities Manager

Job Description

Job Purpose

The Department of Housing & Residence Life (HRL) is currently seeking a Housing Facilities Manager to manage all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) within University housing.

Description

Assure all student rooms, residence hall lobbies and lounges, and other public areas are appropriately set up and maintained throughout the year. Responsible for inventory control, storeroom management, and related supply needs. Work with students and parents on any FFE issues and assure high quality customer service and coordinate with any HRL staff student room issues. Supervise the Housing Facilities Assistant, hire and train student workers, and develop daily and weekly work schedules and assure a high standard of work completion. Manage the day-to-day services performed by other departments within the residence halls; work with housekeeping, pest control, trash removal, Facilities Management, and others to assure that all areas within housing are well maintained at a high standard. Represent HRL at various meetings, participate in committee work as assigned, and assist with other projects. Assist the Assistant Director of Housing with projects, planning, and other duties as assigned. This is a sustainable operations position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience with managing facilities and property control. Must possess a valid Maryland Class C driver’s license or equivalent. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to physically move around campus and within the residence halls without assistance. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.

Salary and Benefits

$44,600 annually with full university benefits that include excellent health, life insurance, and retirement plans; tuition remission; and 22 days of annual leave, 14 holidays, personal and sick days. To learn more about our benefits, please click here.
