Full-Time Grant writer/asst dir development

Job Description

Identify opportunities for grants in support of faculty scholarship and programmatic initiatives. Work with individuals and teams of faculty and staff to write funding proposals for individual, institutional and interdisciplinary projects. Provides assistance to faculty to develop, review and edit individual grant proposals. In addition, this position assists in the planning, implementation and management of a comprehensive development program in support of the priorities of the College of Communication and Fine Arts, with an emphasis on special and annual giving fundraising. This position will be housed in the College of Communication and Fine Arts.Bachelor’s degree.

Experience in grant writing and the proposal submission process.
Three years of experience in fundraising, community outreach or a related field. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work collaboratively in a team setting. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to travel throughout Michigan and the United States.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
