Full-Time Coordinator, University Event Scheduling (5516)

Job Description

The Coordinator, University Event Scheduling serves as the hub for event scheduling on campus, with responsibilities for educational outreach and training; coordinating, scheduling and contracting events, including the deployment of major university events; managing the programs for Advanced Scheduling and the opening of classroom space for events at select times during the year; mediating scheduling conflicts; and leading a network of 15+ core schedulers, providing back-up system-wide as needed. The coordinator will work with the Assistant Director, University Scheduling in developing and testing the University space scheduling system. This individual also provides daily direction to student scheduling assistants, as well as basic customer service, responding to phones calls, emails and walk-ins.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Requirements:

Proficiency in standard office software applications.
Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential.
Demonstrated time management skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies and across administrative lines.

Preferred Requirements:

Two years of experience in higher education, hotel, or convention center management.

Knowledge of/experience with R25 or 25Live scheduling software is strongly preferred.
