Full-Time Coordinator of Student Conduct Programs

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Student Conduct
1. Review incident reports, meet with complainants
and accused students, investigate and resolve student
conduct cases.
2. Follow up with appropriate completion of assigned
sanctions.
3. Implement parental notification protocol for
alcohol and drug violations as appropriate.
4. Serve as the University Presenter for UWS 17
student conduct hearings.
5. Coordinate appointment and training of conduct
board members and hearing examiners.
6. Market policies, behavioral expectations, and the
Conduct Program to the campus.
7. Coordinate and conduct Title IX investigations
for any reports of gender-based misconduct.
8. Work with faculty members regarding classroom
behavioral issues. Provide training and resources.
9. Prepare and present statistical reports each
semester, track trends and make recommendations based on
reports.
10. Provide proactive education to the campus
community regarding policies, expectations and
citizenship.
11. Conduct annual review of institutional policies
and procedures related to UWS Chapter 17. Propose,
implement and market and modifications to the campus
community.
12. Develop and conduct assessment activities related
to student conduct.
13. Develop proficiency in the administration of the
student conduct database and train other campus users.
14. Serve as a liaison to Residence Life related to
student conduct matters and insure consistency in
protocols and sanctions.
15. Work with University Police, Whitewater City
Police and local Sheriff’s Departments on incidents of
student misconduct.
16. Work cooperatively with staff in the Counselor
Education program regarding the Marijuana Awareness
Workshop and other sanctions involving Counselor
Education graduate students.
17. Work with University Counseling Center staff on
the administration of alcohol and other drug assessments
for offenders.
18. Design, implement and assess the effectiveness of
sanctions used in the student conduct process.
19. Develop and implement an assessment plan for all
aspects of the student conduct process.
20. Develop and maintain relationships with local
community service agencies that offer sanction
opportunities to students.
21. Coordinate campus updates to the UW-Whitewater
version of UWS Administrative Code, Chapter 17.
22. Represent UW-Whitewater on system committees and
with the UW System Conduct Officers.
23. Maintain current knowledge of all federal and
state laws related to student conduct, gender-based
misconduct, student records and campus safety.
24. Supervise graduate student employee.

Alcohol and Other Drug Administrative Duties
1. Review, update and market university alcohol and
other drug policies.
2. Provide staff training for Resident Assistants,
Peer Mentors and others related to alcohol and other drug
policies.
3. Facilitate the Alcohol Awareness Workshop for
students.
4. Facilitate the Marijuana Awareness Workshop for
students.
5. Prepare the AODA biennial review as required by
federal mandate.
6. Represent the Dean of Students Office on the AODA
Coalition.

Other Duties
1. Coordinate compliance with the Jeanne Clery
Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime
Statistics Act.
2. Serve as the Dean of Students Office
representative to the Sexual Assault Prevention Advisory
Committee.
3. Serve on other campus committees as assigned.
4. Serve as a university ombudsperson for student
concerns.
5. Provide supervision to graduate students related
to student conduct.
6. Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Education:      Master’s Degree Required
Work Experience:      3-5 Years
