Full-Time Care Team Case Manager

Job Description

Position Summary:
The CARE Team Case Manager works with complex student situations that have impacted a student’s ability to function successfully in the University community. The CARE Team Case Manager helps facilitate a student’s access to and appropriate use of University and/or community services. While strong, supportive relationships may develop with students, the Case Manager does not engage in individual therapeutic relationships. The CARE Team Case Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative and consultative working relationships within the University, particularly, but not limited to: Housing and Residence Life, Student Health and Counseling Services, Campus Public Safety Office, Disability Resource Center, Academic and Career Services, Financial Aid, and Student Conduct. In addition, the CARE Team Case Manager is knowledgeable about resources in the greater Portland area.

The CARE Team Case Manager is a full-time administrative position reporting directly to the Dean of Student Life. The CARE Team Case Manager is an integral member of the Student CARE Team and as such, evening and weekend hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
– Advanced degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field;

– Experience managing crisis situations;

– Experience in case management and working as part of an interdisciplinary team;

– Successful completion of a background check
