Full-Time Campus Life Coordinator

Job Description

Mitchell College is searching for one or more Campus Life Coordinators, who will report to the Director of Campus Life and be integral player in the Student Affairs team. The Campus Life Coordinator provides overall residential and
programming oversight and support to Mitchell College students, supervises Resident Assistants, and partners with
other constituents on the Mitchell College campus to foster a highly individualized environment.

This live-on position (room and board plan provided) will be an essential part of the on-going recruitment and retention efforts at the College and must be able to foster a sense of community within the residence halls and campus life programs. Being engaged as a campus leader to our students, these positions oversee clubs and activities, plan and execute on/off-site programming and are generally responsible for the day-to-day management of a fast-growing residential population. This position requires a willingness to collaborate during evening and weekend times
due to the on-call responsibilities and the operational needs of the College.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years campus life experience preferred
• Ability to problem solve independently and creatively and react appropriately in crisis and other high stress incidences
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of student development theory, research, and best practices in Student Affairs required
• Supervisory skills and experience working with young adults
• Ability to maintain confidential information and work collaboratively with multiple departments
