Full-Time Administrative Operations Coordinator

Job Description

Tacoma Community College (TCC) is pleased to invite applications for Administrative
Operations Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for assisting the Dean with
various initiatives and objectives of the division and college. Perform work using
knowledge and experience to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
including budgets, fiscal analysis, and professional expertise for the division’s
diverse funding streams. Ensure accuracy and compliance for federal, state, and grants
that are program specific. Subject matter expert in monitoring and coordinating
compliance and enforcement activities for professional-technical faculty and programs.

Tacoma Community College is a comprehensive state-supported community college servicing
more than 720,000 residents of the Tacoma-Pierce County area and enrolling
approximately 18,000 students annually (6,000 FTE). The College’s service district
includes all of Tacoma and the Pierce County portion of the Olympic Peninsula and
serves the Tacoma and Peninsula school districts. TCC is one of 34 community and
technical colleges in a statewide system. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest,

Minimum qualifications include:
• Associates Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years professional level experience as an Administrative or Executive
Assistant or closely related administrative experience.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Intermediate level proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database
management and related business management software; Microsoft Office preferred.
• Budget management experience including fiscal guidelines, regulations,
principles and standards.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, five years of experience as an
administrative or executive assistant, experience working in higher education, advanced
research skills and strategic planning experience.

This is a full time professional exempt position scheduled to work Monday through
Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
The salary range for this position is $54,000 – $57,000 DOE/DOQ.
